Botulinum toxin for bruxism
Severe teeth grinding and persistently tense jaw muscles can cause pressure, pain and jaw discomfort. If conventional treatment alone is not sufficient, treatment with botulinum toxin may be considered in suitable cases.
The overactive jaw muscle is treated selectively to reduce excessive muscle activity. We determine whether this option is suitable for you after an individual medical examination and consultation.
Outpatient emergency care
Did you know that office-based physicians provide care for 98% of emergencies, while 2% are treated in hospitals?
Outpatient care is therefore a central part of acute medical care. General practitioners and specialists handle a large number of examinations and treatments requiring short-notice attention every day.
In our practice, too, we try to provide timely care for acute ENT complaints within the available capacity.
Restrictions expected due to statutory health insurance savings
The contribution stabilisation legislation adopted by policymakers is unfortunately having an extremely severe impact on us as ENT physicians.
According to the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, we will have to accept an 18.8% reduction in revenue while providing the same level of services.
This is not economically sustainable for our practice.
We therefore feel compelled to reduce our range of services significantly in order for the practice to remain viable. (This is also required by the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.)
We ask for your understanding for the necessary measures:
- reduced range of services
- longer waiting times
- shorter practice opening hours
